The Baao Parish Multi-Purpose Cooperative is one among the national awardees which received the first ever Presidential Citation for Best Practice-Improving Access to Finance given by the GO NEGOSYO MSME and the Department of Trade & Industry during the Summit and Trade Exhibit held July 8, 2009 at the Megatrade Hall, Megamall, Mandaluyong City awarded by her Excellency Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

DTI-Camarines Sur endorsed the BPMPCO to the National level in recognition of the coops’ innovative programs which focuses on improving access to finance supportive of the formalization and growth of the micro, small and medium enterprise sector.
Among the programs given recognition are: The Aflatoun (Koop-Alkansya: Children’s Social & Financial Education Program), Agricultural, Salary (Teachers & Government, Private Employees) Loan Program, Damayang Pangkalusugan (Social Health Programs) and Social Financing Programs.
