Alternative Learning System on Information Technology Literacy and Driving Lesson Program

ALS for I.T. Leteracy and Driving Lesson Program

The Noma Literacy Prize was created in 1980 by the late Shoichi Noma, president of Kodansha Ltd. Alternative Learning System in the Philippines was awarded by NOMA Literacy Prize in 2000.

Alternative Learning System ( ALS ) is a project initiated by The Department of Education in cooperation with Sta. Cruz Barangay Council in Baao Camarines Sur. ALS offers Information Technology Literacy and Driving Lesson. Its requirement is to complete 140 hours of lecture and hands-on. In order to comply said training issuance of certificate will be given. Said Certificate is accredited by the Department of Education.

Training proper is conducted at Sta. Cruz Barangay Hall, Sta Cruz, Baao Camarines Sur. It is a place conducive for learning. Primary target audience is Out of School Youth in order to prepare them with the challenges in life and competitive in nature. By the end of the training participants would be able to be equipped with sufficient knowledge on information technology.

 

Therefore, we encourage Out of School Youth to become part of the ALS Program.
