Why Baao Parish Multi-Purpose Coopperative:
The word "parish" refers to the parishioners, particularly the “Hijas de Maria”,
A group of religious women, who through the help of the Baao Parish Council
was able to make the coop operational.
1963: Registered as Baao Parish Cooperative Credit Union, Inc. (BPCCUI)
on August 26, 1963 with 50 members who paid P 1.00 as entrance
fee with an accumulated paid up capital of P 1,193.00.
1991: Conferred a confirmation of registration by the Cooperative
: Development Authority (CDA) on March 25, 1991, with the name,
Baao Parish Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BPMPCO).
1999: Completed the Coop Building.
2000: Garnered the 3rd place, Most Outstanding Coop in Bicol Region
given by the CDA.
2003: Expanded its area of operation to cover Rinconada areas.
2004: Expanded its area of operation to province of Camarines Sur.
2005: Launched the Coop Life Program, recipient of InWent IT training,
awarded as Key Coop by LBP, constructed Coop Training Center,
started Supervised Piggery and Farmers project.
2006: Implemented the following programs: Computerization, Aflatoon,
Business Development Center, Reproductive Health, Mini Loan
Program, Koop Alkansya, Damayang Ipon.
2007: Opened Iriga City and Goa Branches in Partnership with NATCCO,
awardee of CDA and BRAHMA KUMARIS
2008: Focus on Quality Membership, Implemented Internal Office Security,
and Implemented Leadership Development Program.
2009: Garnered Presidential Citation Award on Best Practices, Awardee of BRCDC
: Implemented Salary Loan Program, Member of Stabilization Fund and
: Phase I Completion of Computerization Program.
2010: Implementation of Membership,Loans,Share Capital and Accounting
Integrated Systems using I-CoopSys.
: Quarterly Share Capital Mobilization through Raffle Promos.
